Juventus vs Sassuolo: TV channel, live stream, team news & preview

Sassuolo will be looking to pull off an upset when they travel to the Serie A champions, with Cristiano Ronaldo still looking to score his first goal

Serie A table-toppers Juventus and Sassuolo will face each other on Sunday at the Allianz Stadium, with striker Cristiano Ronaldo still in search of his first goal for the Old Lady.

Juventus are sporting a three-game winning streak despite their Portugal international being unable to find the target, though Sassuolo sit in second place and are unbeaten heading into the fixture – winning twice and drawing once.

Ronado is expected to be fully fit and well-rested after being allowed to sit out the international break, though Sassuolo pose a threat as they sport newcomer Kevin-Prince Boateng up front.

Match Preview

Ronaldo will have already been feeling the pressure to hit the mark against Sassuolo following the £88 million deal that moved him from Real Madrid to Juventus, especially as he would be keen to build confidence ahead of a crucial Champions League group stage that involves a reunion with Manchester United.

Paulo Dybala will be able to be called upon as a forward, though the Argentine will not be as fully fit as Ronaldo following his involvement with his national side.

Gonzalo Higuain was transferred to AC Milan in the summer following the arrival of the Portugal striker, which means an on-target Ronaldo will be crucial for Juve.

Visiting side Sassuolo will be buoyed by the acquisition of Boateng this summer and keen to pull an upset over the defending Serie A champions – though they do sport an abysmal record against the Italian giants.

Juventus struck seven goals against Sassuolo in their most recent fixture in January 2018, with Higuain notching a hat-trick, Sami Khedira scoring twice and Miralem Pjanic and Alex Sandro each bagging one apiece.
