Baron Corbin’s announcement that his match with Braun Strowman is still going to move forward despite Strowman’s injury and subsequent elbow surgery appears to be a set up for some sort of a surprise finish at his expense. One scenario is that Corbin will be in the ring, Strowman won’t show up and just as Baron is about to be crowned the winner, Braun will appear, powerslam him and win the match very quickly.
Another similar scenario being described in The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is that instead of Strowman appearing in the above situation, it would be a returning Bray Wyatt who WWE has been using in Strowman’s spot this past weekend at house shows after more than a two month absence.
