Manchester United transfer news: Antonio Valencia rejected Deadline Day moves to Newcastle United and Fulham – reports

Antonio Valencia rejected Deadline Day moves to Newcastle United and Fulham, according to reports.

The full-back has been left out of the last five Manchester United matchday squads and is out of contract in the summer.

However, it seems as though the 33-year-old wants more time to think about his future.

According to The Sun, Valencia has fallen out of favour under interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who was prepared to let the former Wigan Athletic ace leave in January.

But the former winger will now see out the remainder of his £100,000-a-week deal before making a decision on his future.

Valencia signed for United from Wigan in 2009 after the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo in a deal worth £16million.

After initially struggling on the wing, a move to full-back sparked new life into his career and he was named United’s captain at the start of this season by Jose Mourinho.

However, Diogo Dalot and Ashley Young have been preferred to the veteran and he has not played since the 2-0 win against Newcastle on January 2.
