Countries the world over have decided to switch to electric vehicles and India is no different. The target that India has set itself is 2030, that’s merely 12 years away. Although the government has clarified that it’s not looking to completely switch to electric, it wants a big chunk of thecar-buying population to move off petrol and diesel.
While that’s a good move, it should also be looking at something that will help spread this electric dream further – the charging infrastructure. Steps may already have been initiated. A couple of days ago the government clarified that no separate licence is required for setting up of charging stations for electric vehicles.
