Ever since the new Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act, 2019 came into existence, there has been a lot of hue and cry in the country for the hefty fines offenders will have to pay. Violators have been at the receiving end of it with people getting fined heavily for not following traffic rules. It is not only the commoners who are facing the wrath but also the police personnel who flout rules.
Traffic police across the country were facing brickbats for overlooking erring officials but a traffic constable in Ranchi was issued a challan worth Rs 36,000 and his senior officer was also summoned because he was also spotted violating the rules, a report in the Times of India stated.
