Tottenham Hotspur vs Newcastle team news: Heung-Min Son starts up front for Spurs, Fernando Llorente benched

Fernando Llorente has been dropped from the Tottenham Hotspur starting line-up for their clash with Newcastle United at Wembley.

Llorente has been leading the line for Spurs while Harry Kane has been injured and the Spaniard scored the winner against Watford on Wednesday.

Heung-Min Son will play through the middle for Mauricio Pochettino’s side after he made a goal scoring return in the 2-1 victory over the Hornets.

Son is in great form for his club having scored eight goals in nine games either side of his appearance in the Asian Cup.

Serge Aurier also drops out of the side, along with Llorente, with Erik Lamela and Lucas Moura coming in.

Newcastle are unchanged from the side who beat Manchester City 2-1 on Tuesday.

New signing Antonio Barreca, on loan from Monaco, is on the bench.
