Sol Campbell explains why Tottenham are the kings of north London over Arsenal at the moment

Sol Campbell believes Tottenham have moved ahead of arch rivals Arsenal in recent seasons.

The former Spurs and Gunners defender joined talkSPORT for an exclusive interview, in which is admitted Tottenham are the current kings of north London.

That’s certainly the story in the Premier League table – Mauricio Pochettino’s men sit three places and ten points about Unai Emery’s side and have even reignited their Premier League title bid in recent games.

Their head-to-head record would suggest the same, too, with Spurs winning three of their last five meeting with their old foes.

Arsenal have endured a season of highs and lows under new boss Emery. A incredible run of 22 games unbeaten earlier in the campaign has fallen apart and their lack of defensive back-up has come back to bite them.

And Campbell believes Tottenham’s consistency and more settled squad have seen them eclipse their rivals over the past few years.

“Tottenham have got consistency at the moment with the manager and settled players, and that’s key,” he told talkSPORT’s James Savundra.

“They’ve got a young team that works together and the main thing is it’s settled.
