Known for his wasp-wasted Galaxy dress, fashion designer Roland Mouret will be unveiling his new RM Collection this Friday at the pop-up-shop in Selfridges on Oxford Street. Roland Mouret vanished of the fashion scene for two years after a fall out with his business partners. Even thought the collection doesn’t carry the designer’s name, which he had to sign away, it is quite clear he’s the talent behind the RM Collection. Simon Fuller, producer of the Spice Girls, is the backer behind the capsule collection. Would this be the reason why Posh Spice Victoria Beckham was one of the first to wear a pink Moon dress earlier this summer?
For those who purchase a RM item and feel lucky, have the change to win a limited edition show scarf. James Webster hand painted the scarfs for RM and they are signed by the designer himself. These scarfs will be the only ones available in the whole world and hopefully for the winner to become a collector’s item.
The RM shop will be located in women’s Superbrand on 2, Selfridges on Oxford. The collection will also be available in Selfridges Manchester. On the temporarily costumised shop Roland Mouret commented: “I am very excited to have the opportunity to create a personalised space to show the RM collection.”
