Chelsea vs Man Utd team news: Martial, Mata & Rashford in

Jose Mourinho returns to his former club with the pressure weighing heavy on his shoulders as he seeks a crucial victory

Premier League action resumes after the international break when Chelsea take on Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.

Maurizio Sarri’s Blues will be aiming to continue their unbeaten start to the campaign, which sees them rubbing shoulders with Manchester City and Liverpool at the top of the table.

Seven points separate Chelsea from United in the division, with Jose Mourinho struggling to inspire any sort of consistency from his troops.

Despite heading into the international break on the back of an impressive comeback victory against Newcastle United , the Red Devils are languishing in eighth place.

It has been a case of ‘so far, so good’ for Chelsea under their new boss, whose much-lauded ‘ Sarrismo ‘ style of football has taken the league by storm, and they will attempt to continue that revolution by beating Manchester United on Saturday.

While his team sit joint top of the league with Liverpool and reigning champions City, Sarri has been quick to dampen expectations.

The tactical overhaul he has implemented at Stamford Bridge appears to have brought the best out the Blues’ squad, however, with Eden Hazard in particular flourishing; the Belgium international tops the league’s scoring charts with seven goals and he has laid on three more.

Hazard will no doubt be central to any success Chelsea have when they come up against Mourinho’s side, but others, such as Jorginho, Pedro and N’Golo Kante, have been similarly impressive.

A cloud of negativity that engulfed Old Trafford lifted momentarily when Alexis Sanchez completed a sensational comeback victory against Newcastle United prior to the international break, but there is still plenty of work to be done if United are to seriously challenge for the title – or a top-four finish, for that matter.

Victory against the Blues would be an ideal way to build on that win against the Magpies and it would set them up nicely for the visit of Juventus – now boasting Cristiano Ronaldo in their ranks – in the Champions League three days later.
