Cesc Fabregas hopes Eden Hazard signs a new contract with Chelsea.
Earlier this week, Hazard confirmed he has made a final decision about his future, but would not go into detail.
“I know what I am going to do. I have made a decision,” he said.
And Fabregas, who ended his four-and-a-half-year spell at Chelsea to join Monaco last month, knows his former team-mate likes Real.
The Spanish giants are reportedly preparing an £88million move for Hazard, whose Stamford Bridge deal expires next year.
The Belgium captain, 28, has once again been Chelsea’s standout performer this season, scoring 15 goals and registering 10 assists.
In an interview with Radio Marca, Fabregas said: “Let’s see what he decides to do. He has a year and a half left and he is happy at Chelsea and so is his family.
“But in the end they are very personal decisions. He likes Madrid and he has always said it.
“Hopefully he will renew with Chelsea, but if he does not he will finish in Madrid.”
