The report claims that Claude Puel is almost certain to leave the club at the end of the season when his contract expires, with increasing rumours that the former Lyon boss will join AS Monaco next season.

L’Équipe claimed today that Bordeaux were also interested in attempting to entice Puel to join them next season, after the Girondins’s owner refused to confirm Ulrich Ramé as manager for the club for the next campaign.

Rivière has also met with Jocelyn Gourvennec, but the latter individual remains a favourite to take over from Christophe Galtier at St Étienne should he decide to leave.
