Jean-Michaël Seri has reportedly agreed terms with Chelsea

Our well-informed colleagues at Paris United believe that OGC Nice’s Ivorian midfielder Jean-Michaël Seri has agreed personal terms with Chelsea, but that a deal, like all of the Premier League side’s transfer activity, is being blocked by owner Roman Abramovich’s visa situation.

Whilst Seri has allegedly given his agreement in principle to the Blues, this delay in completing the deal could lead to Chelsea being gazumped by other clubs.

Borussia Dortmund have come in strong in recent hours and are hoping to take advantage of Chelsea’s situation to a seal a deal.

Any interested party will have to pay OGC Nice €40m, as per the gentlemen’s agreement made between Les Aiglons and Seri.

The player in the meantime would prefer a move to Spain or England, with Real Betis also in contact for the Ivorian.
