RMC Sport report that initial tests undergone by Neymar have shown that the ankle sprain sustained this afternoon against Saint-Étienne could keep him out for six weeks.
The Brazilian is set to undergo further tests tomorrow to determine the nature of the injury and how long his absence will be. The initial verdict by the PSG medical staff on-site was that of a serious sprain, which would see him out for a month and a half.
As a result, the 29-year-old would miss half a dozen games. Ten minutes before the end of his team’s 3-1 win over Les Verts, a tackle from Yvann Maçon saw the forward injure his ankle, after which he left the pitch on a stretcher.
