Tottenham are interested in Juventus ace Douglas Costa, according to reports in Italy.
Costa, the Brazil winger, has endured a tough season in Turin, having started just seven league matches and been hit with a four-game ban back in September for spitting at Sassuolo’s Federico di Francesco.
Questions have been raised over his attitude, and earlier this week it was reported Juventus plan to meet with Costa’s agent to discuss his behaviour; the meeting comes after Costa flew to Paris for Neymar’s birthday party after being involved in a car crash.
His future in Turin is expected to be discussed at the meeting, and a move away from Juventus could take place.
And, according to Calciomercato, Tottenham hold an interest in the 28-year-old former Bayern Munich player.
Furthermore, if talks begin between Spurs and Juventus over a deal for Costa, it is claimed the Italians will attempt to open a discussion concerning Christian Eriksen.
Juve are keen on Eriksen, the Denmark international, and the club’s sporting director, Fabio Paratici, is ready to move for a long-time target of his.
Costa, who has been capped 31 times by Brazil, has fallen down the pecking order this season and his on-pitch influence has also waned; he has scored only once in 24 appearances, adding just two assists on top.
