According to RMC, Watford have gone ahead of Marseille in the race for Fiorentina’s defensive midfielder Mario Suarez.

The player had been linked to OM, and preliminary discussions were held after Marseille manager Michel declared an interest in signing the player in the event that Lucas Silva’s loan from Real Madrid was terminated early, but that is now not going to be the case.
Suarez has already spoken to Watford manager Quique Sanchez Flores and the Premier League side are in active fee negotiations with Fiorentina.
