Speaking in an interview with Le Télégramme, 33-year-old French midfielder Fabien Lemoine has indicated that he will remain at FC Lorient next season, with the club earning promotion to Ligue 1 for the 2020/21 campaign earlier this week with the LFP’s decision to end 2019/20 prematurely owing to COVID-19 disruption.

“I wanted to achieve something with Lorient, to get back to Ligue 1 with the club before the end of my contract… In any case, I have decided to definitively install myself here. Even for after that. Lorient will be my last professional club. My desire is to play for as long as possible so long as my performances are good and my physical condition remains strong.”
He is currently under contract until June 2021 with Les Merlus.
