Speaking to RMC Sport following Lyon’s 3-1 victory over Manchester City, Portuguese goalkeeper Anthony Lopes, who put in a sterling performance, reacted with emotion to the victory.
“This is incredible, we are clearly the surprise team. I do not believe that many people were expecting us, we have the right to continue to dream. Our system allowed us to exploit the wings, we knew that we were going to have opportunities. Enormously happy and satisfied with this result. We quite simply deserve to be here today! We play football to experience moments like this and push further. We are in the semi-finals, we are big outsiders. Bayern? We will see, we are going to rest up in the first instance. It is easier to recover after a victory. We are going to prepare.”
