As reported by L’Équipe, new Lille coach Jocelyn Gourvennec has insisted that Turkish striker Burak Yilmaz will not be departing LOSC this summer.
Having been pivotal in Lille’s title win last season, the 36-year-old’s contract runs for one more year but has been subject to interest from former LOSC coach Christophe Galtier’s new club, OGC Nice.
“I do not imagine him leaving Lille,” explained Gourvennec. “I speak with Burak regularly… I discussed with him yesterday. He told me he was invested in the project. He is fine here and he wants to stay.”
