Marseille have tonight announced the signing of French defender Samuel Gigot, who will be loaned back straight away to former club Spartak Moscow until the end of the season.
The 28-year-old, formerly of Arles-Avignon before going on to play in Belgium for Kortrijk and Gent, will return to France in the summer.
Gigot is a native of the region, hailing from Avignon, and has made 16 league appearances for the Russian side, as well as playing in all of their Europa League fixtures.
