Santi Aouna is reporting that OGC Nice winger Calvin Stengs (23) is being lined-up for a move back to the Netherlands, with Ajax looking to bring in the former AZ Alkmaar man.
Signed for €15 million back in the summer, he has thus far failed to live up to his price tag, scoring only once and registering one assist in 25 appearances. Stengs has also struggled with injuries in his debut season in Ligue 1.
Ajax are now reportedly ready to offer the Dutchman an exit route from the French Riviera, as they look to refresh their squad. It is expected that they will lose Antony (22) in the upcoming transfer window and Stengs may be seen as a cheap replacement.
