Official | Toulouse sign Norwegian goalkeeper Kjetil Haug

Toulouse have this afternoon announced the signing of Norwegian goalkeeper Kjetil Haug, with the 24-year-old becoming the newly promoted side’s second signing of the summer.

The 24-year-old arrives from Vålerenga, who are in 14th place in this season’s Norwegian top flight. He had been with the Oslo-based team since 2019, having arrived from Sogndal. The goalkeeper was previously in the Manchester City academy for four years.

Toulouse have not indicated the length of the contract Haug has joined on. His arrival brings competition to Maxime Dupé, the Frenchman having been the number one last season as Toulouse won the Ligue 2 title.

Haug has appeared at every level for the Norwegian youth international teams. With his club, he kept 6 clean sheets over the course of his 27 appearances in the past year.

Having already signed Moroccan international Zakaria Aboukhlal, Toulouse are continuing to strengthen ahead of their return to the top flight. Haug becomes the third Norwegian to play for the southern side.
