Inter chief Marotta claims PSG President Al-Khelaifi threatened him in Milan Škriniar negotiation

Speaking to DAZN on Friday night following Inter Milan’s match-up with Lazio, Inter Sporting Director Giuseppe Marotta intimated that PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi threatened him during negotiations for Slovakian international defender Milan Škriniar, by claiming he would sign the 27-year-old for free next summer if Inter didn’t accept their bid.

“I can say that the owner of our club expressed, last week, the desire not to be cajoled by PSG. I can affirm that Skriniar is an important element in our team and that he will certainly stay with us… Milan is a good boy. We will start discussions with him to link him to Inter for several years (his current deal expires in June 2023). I am confident and optimistic… This disguised threat is not enough to impact the player’s values.”
