PSG set to cash in €10m with midweek Middle East tour

PSG are reportedly set to cash in at least €10m with their midweek Middle East tour, according to L’Equipe. Les Parisiens will fly away to Qatar for their usual winter tour on Tuesday night and return to the French capital on Friday morning. The tour has invited controversy as it compels the French Football Federation to postpone PSG’s last 16 Coupe de France tie against sixth-tier minnows Pays de Cassel to Monday evening.

From Tuesday to Friday then, PSG players will indulge in commercial activities with PSG’s main sponsors such as Qatar Airways, Accor, Qatar Tourism, Qatar National Bank, Ooredoo and Aspetar. But the piece de resistance of the tour will be a Thursday evening friendly game against a team made up of Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr players.

Coincidentally, this will probably be the final game between two era-defining players in Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
