Eduardo Camavinga “uninterested” in move from Real Madrid, despite Arsenal interest

According to a report from RMC Sport, Premier League leaders Arsenal are interested in acquiring Real Madrid’s young midfielder Eduardo Camavinga on loan. The Frenchman, though, is “uninterested” in a move away from the Spanish giants this winter.

Arsenal sit five points clear of current champions Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table with a game in hand. The Gunners, looking to shore up their midfield options, have expressed an interest in Champions League winner Eduardo Camavinga, but the midfielder does not intend to leave Madrid this season. Fabrizio Romano, in contact with Camavinga’s agent Joshua Barnett, has said that not only is the 20-year-old is very happy at Madrid, but also Madrid are very happy to have him. “Of course every club in the world would want him,” said Barnett.

Camavinga has played every one of Madrid’s 16 league games this season, albeit mostly from the bench. He was signed from Ligue 1’s Rennes in 2021 for €40m on a six-year deal. Madrid currently sit in second place in La Liga, three points behind league leaders Barcelona.
