More On Raw’s Gauntlet Match Ratings Success
As noted, this week’s WWE Raw, featuring the historic Gauntlet match which lasted nearly two hours, was a major ratings win for WWE in that the match held viewer attention throughout hours one and two.
Alfred Konuwa of Forbes.com noted that the second hour of WWE Raw this week was the show’s “most-watched second hour since Raw 25.”

Konuwa’s article also pointed out that wrestling-heavy episodes of WWE Raw and Smackdown don’t always equal ratings wins for WWE, and noted the “December 4 broadcast of Raw—which saw three matches go 15 minutes or longer in the first two hours—produced a precipitous dropoff from hour one (3.147 million viewers) to hour two (2.862 million viewers).” You can read the entire article in the link below.
