UFC has now confirmed that Punk, once the most popular and controversial name in professional wrestling, will return to his hometown of Chicago, IL on June 9th for UFC 225. The show will emanate from the United Center and will actually be the promotion’s first ever full-fledged pay-per-view event in the Windy City.
If you don’t recall ever hearing the name “Mike Jackson” until now, it’s because he’s only ever had one professional fight in his life. If you have heard that name, chances are it’s because his one fight was a first round submission loss to Mickey Gall, the man who went on to defeat CM Punk back at UFC 203. So it all comes full circle.
