As previously reported, Xavier Woods will be leading The New Day into battle against Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks (collectively known as The Elite) this week at E3 in Los Angeles, as the long-time rivals face off in an epic showdown of Street Fighter V.
Matt and Nick Jackson posted a video on their YouTube channel – along with everyone’s favorite Being the Elite cast member Fatass Masa – officially accepting the challenge. The brand new IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions also bragged about their sick Street Fighter II Turbo skills, but we’re thinking they probably won’t be busting out the SNES for this one.
Kenny Omega also responded to the challenge, calling The New Day a bunch of “midcard comedy acts” just days after defeating Kazuchika Okada to finally win the IWGP Heavyweight Championship at NJPW Dominion.
The two factions will face off on June 14th, exclusively at E3. According to an article from WWE.com – yes, you read that correctly – the big fight will go down this Thursday at 4:00 p.m. EDT.
