During Thursday night’s NXT television taping event at Full Sail University, the pirate princess Kairi Sane was successful in non-title singles action against the black-and-yellow brand’s Vanessa Borne.
Following the bout, an angry Shayna Baszler approached the ring and demanded a rematch for Sane’s most prized treasure – the NXT Women’s Championship – following their excellent collision at last month’s NXT Takeover: Brooklyn IV special.
It has been officially confirmed that Sane will in fact defend her title against the “Queen of Spades”, and the highly anticipated rematch will go down on October 28th at the all-women’s pay-per-view event WWE Evolution!

Already announced for WWE Evolution is a match between two legends, as WWE Hall of Famer Lita returns to the ring to square off against six-time women’s champion (nine-time if you count her run in TNA) Mickie James! Trish Stratus will also be in action as she takes on former Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss – that is, if her recent injury doesn’t keep Miss Bliss on the shelf through the end of October.
It has also been announced that every single women’s title in the company will be on the line, including the uncrowned NXT UK Women’s Championship, in addition to the finals of the 2018 Mae Young Classic tournament.
