Shane McMahon’s Smackdown Status
Shane McMahon made his return to WWE television last week for Smackdown 1000 after taking most of the summer off. The blue brand “commissioner” also made an appearance this Tuesday night to hype up the upcoming Evolution and Crown Jewel events as well.
Reports are stating that Shane O’Mac will be appearing on Smackdown Live, alongside General Manager Paige, with more frequency going forward. A big part of the reason he was off television was to heal up from having hernia surgery after WrestleMania.
WWE Evolution Main Event Note
The Observer is also reporting that Ronda Rousey and Nikki Bella have been working on their WWE Evolution main event match all week long, and will continue to practice their spots heading into Sunday’s big show.
It’s become well known at this point that Rousey, due to the fact that she’s only been wrestling for about six months in total, has many of her bigger matches scripted out in advance so that she can practice, and stay up to the standards of the rest of the women’s division.
