Shane McMahon recently commented on his birthday celebration that took place on the January 15 edition of SmackDown Live.
The Miz hosted Shane’s party and the A-Lister pulled out all the stops for his new tag team partner. Miz had two cakes specially made for Shane and even surprised McMahon with a brand new pair of Jordan 33’s. But then The Bar interrupted the celebration, leading to an impromptu match between Miz and Sheamus.
Miz won the match and The Bar ended up cake on their faces for good measure. The spot and ensuing match may not have been groundbreaking television, but the fans took it all in good humor.
But those same fans are surely wondering where all of this is going. Can The Miz really be trusted? His character must know that if he betrays Shane, the wrath of the entire McMahon Family will reign down on him. But this storyline is indeed curious as it really seems to have no predictable endpoint in sight.
Miz and McMahon will challenge The Bar for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships at The Royal Rumble on Sunday, January 27. If Miz truly has something planned against Shane, then that plan will likely come to the forefront on that night.
Although I am not usually big on celebrating my birthday, last night was so much fun.
