Kofi Kingston Elated After Finally Defeating Randy Orton at WWE Clash of Champions

Kofi Kingston finally proved to himself, and to the world that he has what it takes to go toe-to-toe with “The Viper” Randy Orton, and emerge victorious.

After a controversial double count-out marred their battle at SummerSlam, the two met tonight at WWE Clash of Champions in a highly anticipated rematch. Both veteran stars gave it everything they had, kicking out of multiple signature maneuvers, including Orton’s historically deadly RKO.

In the end, Kingston delivered a final Trouble in Paradise to pin his long-time rival clean, in the middle of the ring. The retaining champ was then interviewed backstage, and while he certainly isn’t ruling out another round of attacks from Orton in the near future, at least for one night he proved he was the better man.

Interestingly enough, there was no mention from Kingston about his fellow New Day members Big E and Xavier Woods losing their tag team titles to Orton’s thugs, The Revival, earlier in the night, nor their beating that potentially re-injured Woods’ knee.
