— WWE released developmental wrestler Mike Kruel on Friday.

Kruel had been in developmental for quite some time (approximately two and a half years), but was unable to breakthrough to the main roster.

Kruel was one of the top technical indy wrestlers in the northeast when he signed with World Wrestling Entertainment in July 2006.

During his time under contract to WWE, Kruel won the OVW Heavyweight Championship and OVW Television Championship.

Kruel is the son of 1990s northeastern indy wrestler Bodyguard For Hire.

— WWE recently signed brother tag team Jason and Johnny Riggs. They were previously under contract when WWE was affiliated with Ohio Valley Wrestling, but dropped from their deals in 2006. They were considered good talents but creative felt they were too one-dimensional. The Riggs took part in the first Florida Championship Wrestling training camp back in October and received developmental deals shortly afterwards.

— There has been talk of Mike Graham getting more involved with Florida Championship Wrestling as he is close to Dusty Rhodes. Graham’s late father Eddie owned and promoted the original Florida Championship Wrestling promotion.
