WWE has announced two of the matches that will be taking place on next week’s episode of NXT.
Karrion Kross vs. Dominik Dijakovic and Killian Dain vs. Dexter Lumis are both set for NXT next Wednesday (July 22). Dijakovic was laid out by Kross on tonight’s show, while Dain took part in a segment with Robert Stone.
Dijakovic unsuccessfully challenged for Keith Lee’s NXT Championship and NXT North American Championship tonight. After the match, Scarlett dumped a broken hourglass into the ring as a warning to Lee on behalf of Kross.
Dijakovic was interviewed backstage after the match. He said Kross is good — but he’s not Keith Lee. Kross then confronted Dijakovic, brawled with him, and laid him out.
Kross and Scarlett had been shown watching on last week as Lee celebrated after his winner-take-all title vs. title match against Adam Cole.
Stone tried to recruit Shotzi Blackheart to the Robert Stone Brand on last week’s NXT. When she refused, Stone threw his coffee cup over his shoulder and accidentally hit Dain. Stone apologized to Dain on tonight’s show and said it was all Blackheart’s fault.
Aliyah then showed Stone a drawing Lumis made that had Stone’s ankle being run over by Blackheart’s tank and Dain being hit with the coffee cup on it. Dain told Stone that if he wants to make it up to him, he’ll get Dain a match against Lumis.
