Earlier today it was announced the WWE had come to terms with James Ellsworth over his release from the company. It had been rumored for a few weeks, with word going around that Ellsworth had only a 1-year contract from the company and that that time was coming to an end. Him being treated like a literal dog on TV and getting his butt kicked by the Smackdown women’s roster did not help the story any.
Ellsworth made his first comments since the release on Twitter with:

He has not made any kind of statement about where he will go next. Many think he may return to the indy’s where he was not only a wrestler but also ran his own promotion. The WWE for their part, gave him a standard “WWE wishes Ellsworth the best in all of his future endeavors” statement to announce him leaving the company.
