Another Update on Big Cass’ WWE Release, Vidot Signs With WWE

Ever since WWE announced that Big Cass was being released from his contract earlier this week, fans have been curious to find out why the company decided to cut him. Cass was a tall and athletic wrestler who could talk on the mic. It looked like he was set for a big push after he returned from an injury to feud with Daniel Bryan earlier this year, but Bryan ended up defeating Cass on two consecutive pay-per-views before WWE decided to let him go earlier this week. Several reports have attributed Cass’ departure to backstage heat and attitude problems that he may have had, but another update on what may have contributed to his release has just recently been provided.
Just as other reports have suggested, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has reported that it was not just one incident that led to Big Cass’ release from WWE. The reports and stories about his attitude and going against company directive, along with new stories about appearing inebriated in public and being upset during WWE’s European tour earlier this year, were all just confirmed by The Observer. It was also noted that WWE officials were actually very impressed with Cass’ performance against Daniel Bryan at Money in the Bank this past Sunday night, but the company still made the call to cut Big Cass earlier this week. Unlike wrestlers who have been released from WWE in the past, Cass will reportedly only have to wait out a 30-day non-compete clause.
A new class of recruits have just started out at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando. One of the newest WWE signees is former rugby player Daniel Vidot. While speaking about his signing with The Courier-Mail, Vidot confirmed that he has signed a three-year deal with the company and he will be going by the name Ghost Vin Quade. After contemplating back and fourth over whether or not he should pursue a wrestling career, Vidot said that it was none other than Smackdown Superstar Jimmy Uso who convinced him to partake in a WWE tryout. Vidot has described his new wrestling persona as a “Samoan ghost,” so it should be interesting to see that he is capable of when he eventually makes his NXT in-ring debut.

Just to set everything straight haha Meet ‘GHOST VIN QUADE’ (Samoan Ghost). ????? #wwe #teamvidot #GVQ
