WWE announcer Rich Brennan has been released from the company.

WWE removed his profile from their website and Brennan dropped his official WWE Twitter handle. Pro Wrestling Sheet initially reported the news Wednesday after Brennan was informed of WWE’s decision to cut him.

Brennan is back to his real name of Rich Bocchini on Twitter. He tweeted about “new adventures” in his first tweet since being released.

Thank you. Come again. #NewAdventures

Brennan rose up the ranks from NXT to Smackdown announcer, but he fell out of favor and ended up calling Main Event matches.

Brennan also served as backstage interviewer on TV and the post-show interviews released on YouTube. Over time, the segments became increasingly scripted for Brennan’s character to be picked on trying to get over heels as bullies.
