Women are the biggest victims in conflict areas. While constant unrest forces them to stay behind the curtains, religious orthodoxy uses the opportunity to further subjugate them. The case of Kashmir is even worse, where terrorists call the shots. they decide code of conduct for everyone, particularlywomen.
Now terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) has threatened Kashmiri women to be prepared for “consequences” if they did not observe the “Islamic dress code”. It circulated handwritten posters, asking women to follow a “Taliban-type dress code” — that is, a burqa, which leaves just the eyes exposed.
