Hurricane Dorian Relief Flights Continuing Under Delta Air Lines

ATLANTA — Delta Air Lines is continuing to operate Hurricane Dorian relief flights into the Bahamas. So far, the airline and its partners have carried more than 360 evacuees and 50,000 pounds of relief supplies. Delta has dedicated a 76-seat Endeavor Air CRJ-900 regional aircraft for relief efforts. On Thursday, the Atlanta-based airline launched a disaster relief supply flight from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Freeport, Grand Bahama Island.

The airline said it is committed to continuing relief flights as long as they are needed.

On Wednesday, Delta and its partners operated three relief flights carrying more than 200 evacuees from impacted areas in Marsh Harbour and Freeport to Nassau. The airline began relief operations last Sunday.

Delta and Endeavor continue to work with the Bahamian government and the Red Cross to help and support the people and communities affected by Hurricane Dorian.

Earlier this week, Delta operated six humanitarian cargo flights from Atlanta to Nassau and Fort Lauderdale to Marsh Harbour Sunday and Monday, bringing a total of 13,000 pounds of supplies.
