Alexis Crawford Killed By Roommate, Roommate's Boyfriend: Police

ATLANTA, GA — Alexis Crawford’s disappearance last week set off a search that ended Friday with grim results. The college student was found dead, killed by asphyxiation.

Atlanta Police say that they now have two people in custody. Crawford’s roommate at Clark Atlanta University, 21-year-old Jordyn Jones and Jones’s 21-year-old boyfriend, Barron Brantley, are charged with murder.

Both are being held at the Fulton County Jail.

Police have not yet identified a motive but say that before Crawford disappeared, she had filed a police report saying that she’d been subjected to “unwanted kissing and touching” by Brantley.
