First 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray fetches $3million at Barrett-Jackson auction!

The first production Toyota Supra fetched $2.1 million over at the Barret-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona but that pales into insignificance when compared to what someone just paid for the first 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray… a whopping $3million!

###

The mid-engine Chevy C8 with VIN number 001 went under the hammer and eventually sold for the incredible amount – just tad more than its base price of $59,995… The proceeds are going to the Detroit Children’s Fund.

###

Apart for the unique sportscar with the 3LT trim (it includes a performance data recorder and Z51 performance package) the winning bidder also gets the option of taking delivery of the coupe at the Corvette plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky. It will also come with a hosted tour at the Corvette Museum, a Letter of Authenticity, and a unique artwork.

###

It hasn’t even been built yet but once it does, it will sport a black exterior, black seats with red trim, red seatbelts, GT2 seats, removable roof panel, and rear spoiler.
