As he was reporting on the human toll of the war in Afghanistan, Afghan reporter Samim Faramarz, along with his cameraperson, died on camera. The 28-year-old reporter is the latest journalist to be killed while working to highlight the human toll of the war in Afghanistan, a 17-year-old conflict.
On Wednesday, as Faramarz finished his day’s assignment, the news of an explosion from the western part of Kabul came in. In the latest ISIS attack, a suicide bomber had fatally shot dead the guard of a wrestling gym, walked in and detonated his explosives.
