West Ham defender Reece Oxford has ambitions to play for Bayern Munich, according to his agent.
The 20-year-old joined Bundesliga club Augsburg on loan until the end of the season after struggling for playing time at the London Stadium.
Oxford has failed to make a single appearance under Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini and is now in his third spell in Germany after two loans with Borussia Monchengladbach.
He is the latest Englishman to head to Germany, joining Jadon Sancho, Reiss Nelson and Emile Smith Rowe.
And Oxford’s agent, Aidy Ward, has revealed his client wants to play for Bayern in the future.
He told Fussball Transfers: “Reece is a big fan of Owen Hargreaves (who played for Bayern Munich between 2000 and 2007).
“He always thought it would be great to play for a club like Bayern one day.”
Oxford made his Augsburg debut as a late substitute in their 3-0 win over Mainz on Sunday and the England Under-20 international has two years left on his West Ham deal.
And Pellegrini warned the player his Hammers days could be numbered.
Speaking in November, he said: “This season will be difficult for Reece to play.
“I spoke with him some weeks ago to force him to continue to work as high a level as he can.
“If you don’t have space in the first-team you must demonstrate in the Under-23s that you can make a difference in every game.
“It is a difficult moment for him and he must work very hard.”
Oxford became West Ham’s youngest ever Premier League player aged 16 years and 237 days in an opening-day 2-0 win at Arsenal in 2015.
And despite loan moves to Reading and Monchengladbach, his career has stalled over the years.
