Tottenham Hotspur new stadium: Watch footage from inside ground as fans are invited for Super Bowl event

A small group of Tottenham supporters were offered the opportunity to spend Sunday night at their new stadium as part of a Super Bowl event.

Around 1,000 fans were invited to watch Sunday’s big match-up – which the New England Patriots won – and one of them took advantage by filming some incredible footage showing the inside of the ground.

YouTube user ‘Tottenham Fan Chris Cowlin‘ shared a 10 minute video which offered fresh views of the outside of the ground, the underground car parks, the bars and catering areas, and, most importantly, the pitch.

Some impressive things on display include the remarkably futuristic beer dispensers, the huge screens in the stadium bowl, as well as the Tottenham logo on the outside of the arena – which is believed to have been lit up for the first time last night.

The NFL screening was the first time the east stand had been opened to the public, with one of the high class lounges also opened for invited guests.

Despite welcoming, and coping with, around 1,000 people on Sunday night, the NFL screening is not classed as an official test event.

Spurs must hold two test events with increasing levels of attendance to qualify for a safety certificate for the new stadium.

The north London club are expected to provide an update on proceedings later this week, with the ground expected to open in either March or April.
