Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 Newcastle: Spurs set Premier League record for most successive games without a draw

Tottenham rose to second in the Premier League by edging past Newcastle at Wembley on Saturday.

Heung-Min Son’s 83rd-minute strike was all that separated the two sides.

However, the result also saw Spurs break a fascinating Premier League record as they have now made 29 successive league games without a draw. The last time they shared the spoils in the Premier League was a 1-1 draw at Brighton in April 2018.

In the process, Tottenham surpassed the record set by Bolton in 2011, who managed to achieve 28 Premier League matches on the spin without registering a draw.
