Tottenham will be without nine first-team players for Wednesday’s tie, allowing a number of squad players to make a mark ahead of the new Premier League season.
“It’s a massive opportunity for our younger players to show their quality and for players to show they are in condition to fight for a place in the first team,” Pochettino told the official Spurs website.
“We’re looking forward to playing, looking forward to a nice tour and sharing time with our fans, that’s important too.
“We have three very good tests and more than results, it’s about how we are going to approach the games and both collective and individual performances.”
As well as Roma, Tottenham will test themselves against AC Milan and Barcelona in the ICC, while the Giallorossi also go up against the Camp Nou club and their Clasico rivals Real Madrid.

Tottenham will be looking to take revenge for last year’s last-minute defeat, in which Diego Perotti scored an injury-time winner to sink the London club.
