Real Madrid to offer Marco Asensio or Isco to Chelsea in bid to reduce asking price for Eden Hazard

Real Madrid are set to offer Marco Asensio or Isco to Chelsea in order to sign Eden Hazard for less than £100million, according to reports.

The Blues star, whose contract has less than 18 months to run, is stalling on a new deal at Stamford Bridge and is reportedly set to inform the club of his desire to move to Los Blancos.

Real Madrid have given their assurances to Hazard that they will submit a bid for him in the summer. However, they are not willing to pay the reported £100million asking fee that Chelsea want for their talisman.

According to the Mail, Bernebeu chiefs could now offer Asensio or Isco as part of the deal for the Belgian.

Asensio has struggled in LaLiga this season with one goal in 17 appearances – but is still regarded as one of Spain’s brightest talents.

Isco has fallen out of favour under Santi Solari this season – featuring mainly as a substitute – playing in just 610 minutes of league action.

Hazard has flirted with a potential move to Real Madrid on several occasions and is now seemingly edging closer to sealing his wish.

Last month, Maurizio Sarri stated Chelsea should let Hazard leave if he wants to.

He said: “Eden is 28. If he wants to go, I think he has to go.

“Of course, I hope the opposite, I hope he wants to stay here.

“He has the potential to be the best player in Europe at the moment.”

Hazard’s possible departure could have implications on the future of Real Madrid loanee Mateo Kovacic.

It is understood the Croatian could also be offered on a permanent deal as a potential sweetener by the LaLiga club.
