The Sun claim that Rashford’s willingness to wait to sign a new deal has encouraged Real into believing they can land the versatile forward.
The England international, 21, earns £60,000-a-week and United are prepared to triple his wages to keep him.
Despite Real being able to offer £250,000-a-week, it is believed that Rashford is intent on staying at Old Trafford.
The England international has thrived in a central attacking role under interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, scoring five goals in seven starts.
His form has forced Romelu Lukaku, a favourite under former manager Jose Mourinho, to settle for a place on the bench.
Rashford will be looking to add to his goal tally when United travel to Leicester on Sunday.
