The Premier League is set to keep its £30 cap on away tickets for another three years, reports claim.
Shareholders will meet on Thursday to discuss the future of the scheme, which is currently due to expire at the end of the season.
And according to the Daily Mail, officials are keen for the cap to remain in place after seeing a rise in the number of away supporters in the English top-flight.
The scheme was introduced in March 2016 following outrage from supporters over the price of away tickets.
Travelling fans were beginning to dwindle in numbers, and since the agreement was reached, those figures have returned to normal and even increased.
So far this season, the average number of away fans at each game is 2,300, which is slightly more than last season.
Some clubs reportedly want to see the scheme abolished, but it is understood Premier League officials will advice them that a decision to scrap the cap or increase the £30 ceiling could risk damaging the league’s reputation.
A spokesperson told the Daily Mail: “We have always argued that away supporter attendance needs to be encouraged if the atmosphere and spectacle of a live match is to be sustained.
“There had been a rapid rise in away ticket costs for many supporters and the cap put a halt on that.
“However, we still believe more can be done and we call on the Premier League to look at ways to further reduce concessionary ticket costs and subsidise travel costs when games are moved for TV.”
