Paul Pogba goals statistic shows just how much Manchester United midfielder has improved under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Paul Pogba’s vast improvement under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been evident to even the casual observer.

The France World Cup winner has been a key component to Solskjaer’s side since he took over from Jose Mourinho in December.

Manchester United have remained unbeaten in eight matches, winning seven and drawing one, and have their eyes firmly set on a Champions League place.

The statistics are there to back up just how key Pogba has been to Solskjaer.

The 25-year-old has been involved in 53 per cent of the 19 goals scored by United in the Premier League games under the interim manager.

The midfielder has scored six times and provided another four assists.

In 14 appearances under Mourinho in the league this season, he managed just three goals and three assists.

Pogba’s poor relationship with the Portuguese manager was well documented.

The pair are understood to have had a number of training ground spats, which contributed to Mourinho’s downfall.

The midfielder also reportedly responded to the former manager’s sacking by shouting ‘he f***** with the wrong baller’.

The Red Devils travel to Leicester on Sunday, which is live on talkSPORT, to try and win their fifth consecutive away match in all competitions for the first time since October 2012 under Sir Alex Ferguson.

Solskjaer’s side will be hopeful of closing the gap on Arsenal, who are in fifth place, and can go above them if United win and the Gunners lose to Manchester City.
