Marcus Rashford: Manchester United offer striker huge contract worth more than double his current wages – reports

Marcus Rashford is close to agreeing a new long-term deal with Manchester United worth more than double his current wages, reports claim.

The England striker, 21, is enjoying the most prolific season of his career so far, with nine Premier League goals to his name already.

And according to the Daily Star, he is set to be rewarded with a new contract worth £200,000-a-week – a huge upgrade on his current £75,000-a-week deal.

He is one of the brightest young talents in world football and United have no intention of losing him as some of Europe’s biggest clubs begin to circle.

Rashford has just 18 months left on his current contract and Real Madrid are reportedly lining up a £100million bid to lure him away from Old Trafford this summer.

However, it is understood the forward is keen to stay at United, where he has recently established himself as the first-choice No.9 ahead of Romelu Lukaku.

Six of his league goals this season have come in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s opening eight games as interim manager, including crucial strikes away at Tottenham and Leicester.

Rashford’s team-mate Anthony Martial recently put pen to paper on a new deal until 2023 and United hope the England striker will follow suit.
